I have briefly reviewed your paper (the one I found on arXiv, as your website doesn’t seem to be working). It’s certainly interesting to provide a way to optimize the guitar tuning for particular pieces. It seems, however, purely descriptive; you write there, what you “prefer”, but you don’t provide any algorithm to actually put these preferences into practice. Have you developed any practical means to achieve the desired optimization?
Hi. Very intresting approach. I’ve switched to tuning in fourths for a couple of months ago. The first two strings are F, C instead of E, B. I like the symmetry a lot better than before.
Why do you think I should change to 3rd tuning? Convince me and send me then an mail, please.
